Issue Eight launches online on Tuesday!

Dear readers,

Just a quick one to say the time has come to let Issue Eight of Wet Grain out into the world! We invite you to celebrate at our free online launch on Tuesday 29th September. Though we love in-person gatherings and will be organising more of those in the future, the geographical breadth of this issue and the spread of our readership turned us towards the online. We hope that readers who wouldn't be able to join us in person can make it on Tuesday.

Our stacked and dispersed lineup includes Kirsten Norrie and Yásnaya Elena A. Gil with her translator Ellen Jones, who contributed essays on fairies and the Zapatista movement; Mathilde Dewavrin, whom I interviewed on stonelore; and poetry contributors: CAConrad, Michaela Coplen, Peter Mackay, lisa minerva luxx and Ida Sieciechowicz with her translator Sarah Luczaj.

PS: In other publication news, I recently took part in an initiative by DIRT Plantable Poetry, where six poets were paired to write a poem responding to a specific piece of environmental science. My poem emerged in collaboration with Morag Anderson, and the other pairs were Linda France & Rona Luo and Kara Barlow & Karen Downs-Barton. The pamphlet includes our three final poems for you to plant together with some enclosed seeds once you're done with the text. Get your copy below:
